I'M considering some changes here to see if I can put more content here that people are interested in seeing, hopefully getting more conversations started too in the comments. I'm also thinking about the possibility of moving to a self-hosted site (where it would be just my blog, not one blog out of thousands on a "blogging site"). I've liked the social aspect of blogging sites so far, like LiveJournal or DreamWidth, because of the sense of community they encourage and the ease of reading all my friends' blogs together. But as my circle of friends has drifted away from blogging I wonder if there's still as much benefit from that.
